A milestone in Maroochydore City Centre growth
The transformation of Maroochydore City Centre is accelerating, with Walker receiving development approval for its $300 million SOL by Walker residential project.
The twin 19-storey towers will bring 251 new homes to one of Australia’s tightest residential markets, further strengthening the Sunshine Coast’s growing reputation as a world-class urban hub.
SunCentral Maroochydore CEO Amanda Yeates said the approval marks a significant milestone in the city centre’s evolution, reinforcing its position as a sought-after destination for modern, inner-city living.
“SOL will double the number of residents we have here in Maroochydore City Centre, bringing even greater vibrancy to the Sunshine Coast’s CBD. Families can enjoy the best inner-city lifestyle surrounded by cafes, restaurants, jobs and recreation spaces all just minutes from the beach,” Ms Yeates said.

New amenities for a connected community
SOL will feature a rooftop terrace with bookable function spaces, a resident library, coworking areas, and a recreational deck with a gym, outdoor yoga zones, BBQ facilities, and a sunset lawn. Residents will enjoy convenient access to 379 car parks and 251 bicycle spaces.
